The list is fairly simple and basic. There is not a lot that you will need for your lessons and depending on what lesson you would like will determine your gear. For Every Lesson: Dress for the weather and do not wear cotton. Once cotton gets wet it looses its insulating qualities. In fact it becomes an evaporative cooler and rips the heat away from your body. Swimming clothes are a great option. Bring a bag of personal stuff. Things like towels and extra change of clothes are nice to have after a paddling session. Also any personal medications or hygiene products are useful. Sun glasses with a strap so you don't loose them. Sun Screen is highly recommended. Water Bottle. Did you know that due to strict standards that the water in Pueblo is much cleaner than any bottled water on the market? Not to mention it saves you money, a water bottle can be filled 50 something times for $.01, and in many cases for free all together. We provide water in bottles but prefer if you can bring a refillable vessel that you can refill with ice cold water which we also bring! Nose plugs are not necessary and we provide a pair with the beginner kayak lesson but it's nice to have your own. Snacks just to have an extra boost of energy. Some type of water shoe that fits and you are comfortable with wearing. |
